Our Supper meeting on Monday 5 February was enhanced by the virtual appearance of President Lawrence Oliver Fatiaki from the Rotary Club of Honiara, Solomon Islands
President Lawrence informed our members that the 12 repurposed laptops were now installed at the Kukum Valley SDA Primary School in the Solomon Islands through the Rotary Club of Honiara. This joint project has provided 12 computers for this school of 600 upper primary students and their teachers.
Gus has another 12 ready to go to another school.
Gus, and Lawrence, together with the Rotary Club of Honiara Service Projects Director Peter Wopereis, are developing ties with the Rotaract Club of Honiara, to eventually become involved in the project. The Rotaract Club of Honiara have over 100 members and are a great source of needed IT skills.
Gus has been working tirelessly on this project for quite a while. Good on you Gus. And Congratulations on your determination and success so far.
